Fun in the Garden

Garden Fun!

A garden is an exciting place to do lots of fun and interesting things; here are a few suggestions for you and your little terras.

• Go insect hunting – Find out where different insects live in your garden and what sort of insect homes they live in.


• Bird watching – With a pair of binoculars and a keen eye, try bird watching and see if you and your little ones can spot the first robin before anyone else!


• Grow Your Own Plants – Try planting your seeds and wait for them to spring from the earth. If you grow vegetables you can eat your efforts too!


• Painting – Painting large stones with acrylic paints in a fun way to make your garden look more colourful!


• Hopscotch – Get some chalk and draw your own hopscotch, throw a stone, and there you go! A retro game to play with your little terras!


• Conkers – This time of year is great for collecting conkers and acorns. See who can get the biggest to defeat them all in the popular schoolyard game Conkers.


• Snowy Days - On the rare days that the snow falls and settles you can make snowmen, have snowball fights and even do snow angels! Fingers crossed for snow!


• Scrapbook – Make a scrapbook of all the fun you have had in the garden, of the birds and insects you have seen, to the progress in your plants, keep a record of it all to look back on.
